Banco G&T Continental has introduced a new feature called Transaction Eraser for its credit card customers. This tool allows users to use their accumulated points or miles from the GTCRewards or GTCTravel loyalty programs to remove recent purchases made with their GTC credit cards.

The feature is designed to help customers manage small or unexpected expenses by converting reward points into a way to reduce outstanding balances. According to Banco G&T Continental, "Transaction Eraser is a functionality of your GTC Card loyalty program: GTCRewards or GTCTravel, which allows clients to use accumulated points or miles to 'erase' purchases already made with their GTC Credit Card."

To use the service, cardholders can log in to www.gtcrewards.com.gt if they have a points-based card, or www.gtctravel.com.gt for mileage-based cards. After accessing the platform, users can view eligible recent transactions and select which purchase they want removed using their available points or miles. The selected transaction will then be deducted from the outstanding balance automatically.

The bank notes that this option applies only to purchases made in quetzales and is available for all GTC credit cards that accumulate rewards. The process does not require phone calls or additional paperwork and is accessible 24/7 through the online platforms.

Banco G&T Continental highlights several benefits of Transaction Eraser, including better expense control without affecting cash balances and the ability to convert rewards into immediate financial relief. The bank advises customers to regularly check eligible transactions and strategically save points for important expenses.
