The Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (INGUAT) is promoting adventure tourism with the event “Aventura X Guate,” taking place on February 18 and 19 at the Parque Zoológico La Aurora exhibition hall in Guatemala City. The event aims to showcase the country’s wide range of adventure tourism options, providing information through tour operators and travel agencies about available packages, hotels, and other services across different regions.
According to INGUAT, "Guatemala is a country with great natural wealth that, thanks to its geomorphological diversity and variety of climates, has been able to create adventure activities that can be practiced throughout the national territory. For INGUAT, it is very important to promote activities that drive this tourism segment."
The expo will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both days. It also offers spaces for Guatemalan businesses to market their services. The program includes cultural presentations such as regional costume displays and performances by Garífuna music groups and INGUAT’s Folkloric Ballet.
Participating companies include En Ruta por Guate, Expedición Extrema Guatemala, Cumbres y Turismo, La Camioneta Tours Guatemala, K´ASHEM, Onca turismo aventura, Los Güichos Tours & Travel, Hotel Maya Jade, Casa Xara, Guarda Barranca, ScouTourOperador “STO”, Parque Chatún, Costa Tours / Hotel Astor, Comité ARAPIS-Mujer, and Parapente Guatemala.
