The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) has conducted a training session for 25 tomato farmers in Tejutla, San Marcos. The event was organized through the Municipal Agency for Rural Extension (AMER) and marked the fourth module in a series aimed at improving tomato cultivation techniques.

According to MAGA, the training is intended not only to optimize the local tomato supply chain but also to help increase competitiveness in the market. The session was carried out in coordination with agricultural companies and focused on areas such as efficient irrigation, handling of crops from planting day, and maturation processes that meet current commercial requirements.

MAGA stated that it will continue offering similar instructions throughout San Marcos and other regions of the country. These efforts will consider regional crop types and those with high market demand in order to strengthen local economies.

"The MAGA, through AMER, will continue promoting this type of instruction in different parts of San Marcos and the country in general, taking into account the types of crops in each region and those most in demand on the market to strengthen the economy of worthy people," said a representative from MAGA.
