Guatemala is participating in the "Tianguis Turístico 2023 CDMX" tourism fair, held from March 26 to 29, with a promotional agenda led by the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (INGUAT). The country's delegation includes INGUAT officials and seven Guatemalan companies: Mochibusito GT, Condor Verde Travel, Tikal Operator, Transportes Urizar / Transtour Urizar, Tikal Adventures, PTP Mundo Maya, and All Tours / Gray Line.

At the event, Guatemala's stand is located in the Mundo Maya countries area in Hall D at stand 67. The delegation will take part in a business forum that features prearranged meetings between buyers and exhibitors. The group will also provide information about Guatemala's tourism offerings and services.

Alongside participation in the fair, Guatemala will join a meeting of the Regional Commission of the Mundo Maya Organization. This organization includes Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and five southern states of Mexico. Its goal is to promote sustainable tourism development while supporting efforts to conserve historical and cultural heritage.

According to INGUAT’s Department of Research and Market Analysis: "In 2022, Guatemala registered the arrival of 63,407 visitors residing in Mexico. With these activities we seek to encourage visits from our Mexican neighbors who contribute to economic and social development through tourism."
