Energuate participated in the República Summit: Sostenibilidad 2025 – Energía para todos, an event focused on the future of energy in Guatemala. The summit brought together key figures from the energy sector to discuss issues related to sustainability, technology, and infrastructure.
Among those representing Energuate were Cristian Fierro, Director; Paulo César Parra Benavides, General Manager; and David Eduardo Cabrera Palomo, Head of Transmission at RECSA. Their involvement highlighted Energuate's role in regional discussions about energy policy and development.
A notable session during the summit was the forum titled “Vamos bien, pero hablemos de los retos” (“We are doing well, but let’s talk about the challenges”). During this panel, Paulo Parra and David Cabrera joined other industry leaders to address current challenges facing Guatemala’s national electricity system. According to their joint message: "Guatemala is making progress, but it needs bold decisions, strategic investment and a shared vision to ensure accessible, reliable and sustainable energy for all."
Energuate’s presence at the summit demonstrated its position as one of Central America’s largest electricity distributors. Company representatives emphasized their commitment to driving energy transformation in Guatemala with responsibility and innovation while supporting community development.
