Guatemala has released a new guide aimed at encouraging investment in its tourism sector. The publication, titled “Tourism Doing Business: Invirtiendo en Guatemala,” provides information for potential investors about opportunities within the country’s tourism industry.
The initiative is part of efforts by the Instituto Guatemalteco de Turismo (INGUAT) to promote Guatemala as an attractive destination for both tourists and business interests. The guide outlines areas with high potential for development, regulatory frameworks, and available incentives for foreign and local investors.
According to INGUAT officials, the resource is intended to help facilitate decision-making processes for those interested in investing in tourism projects across Guatemala.
Anayansy Carolina Rodríguez, Director at INGUAT, stated: "Our goal is to provide clear and accessible information so that more investors can see the potential that Guatemala offers in the tourism sector."
The release of this guide aligns with broader strategies by Guatemalan authorities to strengthen economic growth through increased foreign direct investment and sustainable development of tourism infrastructure.
