The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA), through its Municipal Agency for Rural Extension (AMER) in Tejutla, San Marcos, has organized a training activity aimed at strengthening the skills of producers and nursery workers in collecting and handling high-quality seeds. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the reforestation project of Cooperativa Acredicom Tejutla.

The workshop focused on certification for the collection of seed sources. The training was directed at those working in nurseries located within communities where a Center for Learning for Rural Development (CADER) operates. These centers are part of the agroforestry chain in the municipality of Tejutla.

According to MAGA, "This instruction and the optimization of skills will contribute to improving the production of forest plants and will benefit reforestation efforts in the aforementioned municipality."

The ministry stated that it is involved in various activities, sometimes through strategic alliances with key community actors, to support rural families.
