Producers of tilapia from the Petén Aquaculture Network and participants in the circular pond project took part in a digital marketing and sales strategies training session. The event, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA), aimed to improve commercial skills among local aquaculturists.
The training was held at INTECAP facilities and involved collaboration between INTECAP staff, the Aquaculture Unit of the Vice Ministry for Petén Affairs (VIPETÉN), and support from Swisscontact.
According to organizers, the session enabled producers to use innovative tools focused on digital business. This approach is expected to help them better position their products in the market and contribute to sustainable development in the region's aquaculture sector.
"The training allowed producers to apply innovation tools oriented towards digital businesses, generating new opportunities to position their products in the market and contribute to sustainable development of the aquaculture sector in the region," said representatives from MAGA.
