MINEX Guatemala highlights mobile consulate events in U.S. cities and announces ExpoCAP Tecún Umán

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala (MINEX Guatemala) has used its official Twitter account to highlight recent consular activities and outreach events aimed at supporting Guatemalan nationals both abroad and within the country.

On November 17, 2025, MINEX Guatemala reported that "#GuatemalaCercaDeTi | El @ConsGuatAtlanta desarrolló durante dos días su #ConsuladoMóvilGT del mes de noviembre en la ciudad de Montgomery, Alabama, donde se atendió a la comunidad guatemalteca con servicios de documentación, registro civil, así como protección y asistencia". This post indicated that the Guatemalan Consulate in Atlanta conducted a two-day mobile consulate event in Montgomery, Alabama. Services provided included documentation assistance, civil registry support, and protection for Guatemalans living in the area.

Later the same day, MINEX Guatemala announced an upcoming event: "¡Llega la #ExpoCAP Tecún Umán! Un espacio creado para acercar programas, servicios y proyectos que benefician directamente a la población guatemalteca y fortalecen la prevención de la migración irregular. 27 y 28 de noviembre 9:00 a 15:00 horas 5ta. avenida A zona 1,". The ExpoCAP Tecún Umán is scheduled for November 27 and 28 and aims to provide information on programs and services that support Guatemalans while promoting the prevention of irregular migration.

A third tweet posted on November 17 stated: "#GuatemalaCercaDeTi | El @Consulguatesf llevó a cabo su Consulado Móvil en San Rafael, California, los días 13 y 14 de noviembre de 2025, ofreciendo atención a la comunidad guatemalteca con diversos servicios consulares. Durante la jornada, se acercaron trámites de". This message detailed that the Guatemalan Consulate in San Francisco held its own mobile consulate days earlier in San Rafael, California on November 13 and 14. The event focused on delivering various consular services to local community members.

These efforts are part of ongoing initiatives by MINEX Guatemala to reach citizens living outside of their home country with essential documentation services and legal protections. Mobile consulates are designed to facilitate access for those unable to travel long distances to fixed consular offices.
