The Guatemalan Social Security Institute (IGSS) recently organized a preventive health event for employees at the main office of the National Registry of Persons (RENAP). The activity aimed to promote preventive healthcare and bring medical services closer to IGSS affiliates.
During the event, RENAP staff received various medical services, including blood sample collection, vital signs monitoring, and verification of medical data. The initiative sought to identify potential health risks and offer personalized medical guidance. This is part of IGSS’s ongoing commitment to support comprehensive well-being in workplaces.
(Translation: "It is a great help that IGSS comes to our offices. Sometimes due to lack of time we cannot go to consultations, and today we had the opportunity to learn about our health.")
Other workers also expressed gratitude for the accessible services and attention provided during the event.
More than 200 workers benefited from free vital signs checks and medical care during the day. Luis Rodríguez from the Social Communication area stated: "El personal fue muy amable y profesional; esta jornada nos motiva a cuidar más de nuestra salud." ("The staff was very kind and professional; this event motivates us to take better care of our health.") He emphasized the importance of such initiatives for improving quality of life in the workplace.
IGSS continues to organize these events in both public and private institutions as part of its effort to encourage a culture of prevention, healthy habits, and early detection of diseases among its members.
