The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA), through the Municipal Rural Extension Agency (AMER) in San Juan Ostuncalco, Quetzaltenango, has provided technical support to eight families for making candied chilacayote. The initiative was led by the head of MAGA's Rural Home program and took place in Los Romero sector, La Victoria village.
