Energuate has announced the installation of a new transformer at the Santa Elena Substation in Petén. The company stated that this move is part of ongoing efforts to improve the electric service for residents and businesses in the central area of the department.
According to Energuate, the new transformer will help meet a 4% increase in energy demand within Petén. It is expected to provide more stable and reliable electricity to users throughout the region. The initiative forms part of a broader plan that involves over 100 interventions aimed at modernizing and strengthening the local power grid.
The company explained that by expanding the substation and installing additional equipment, they are reducing risks associated with overload failures. This aims to ensure continuous power supply for homes, businesses, companies, and tourism projects in Petén.
"In ENERGUATE we reiterate our willingness to serve with quality and invest to help fulfill the dreams of Guatemalans," said an Energuate representative.
