The Faculty of Dentistry at Francisco Marroquín University has announced the death of José Francisco Cabarrús Poitevin, a founding member and professor at the institution. The university community, including council members, the dean, faculty, students, and administrative staff, expressed their condolences to his family.
"We express our deepest condolences to his wife Florentina (Flory) Salinas de Cabarrús; to his children Ligia, Regina, Elena and Pablo Cabarrús Salinas, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members," stated the university.
Cabarrús was recognized for his role in establishing the Faculty of Dentistry and his contributions as an educator at Francisco Marroquín University. The announcement reflects the impact he had on both colleagues and students.
