Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI), through its food division CMI Alimentos and brands Toledo, Héroes de Fuego, and Aliansa, participated in the 32nd Guatemalan Pig Farming Congress held in Antigua Guatemala from November 19 to 21. The event, organized by APOGUA, brought together experts, producers, and regional leaders to discuss innovation, productivity, and best practices in the pork industry.
The congress served as a central meeting point for technical updates and experience sharing among stakeholders involved in the growth of the regional pork sector. CMI’s involvement aimed to support sustainable development within the industry by offering innovative solutions and promoting professionalization and food safety.
“Our participation responds to the purpose of contributing innovative solutions, strengthening the professionalization of the sector, and promoting practices that guarantee quality, efficiency, and food safety,” said a representative from CMI.
The event featured keynote presentations from national and international specialists as well as networking opportunities and a commercial exhibition focused on health, nutrition, genetics, and technology relevant to modern pig farming. According to CMI, their presence emphasized corporate priorities such as product quality and operational efficiency while fostering relationships with key producers and suppliers.
“The presence of specialists from Spain, Portugal, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Chile allowed for an enriching dialogue about global trends, shared challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement. These spaces fostered valuable exchanges that drive regional competitiveness,” said CMI.
