CBC has been recognized by LatinFinance magazine as the recipient of the "Corporate ESG Deal of the Year, $1.1bn SLB and Exchange" award. The recognition also highlights CBC's achievement in issuing a green bond.

The selection process for the awards was conducted by LatinFinance's editorial team, who evaluated candidates through a thorough review. The awards are intended to honor outstanding transactions and institutions in the capital markets of Latin America and the Caribbean, based on results published between October 1, 2021, and September 30, 2022.

Award recipients were acknowledged at the LatinFinance Capital Markets Dinner held on January 26, 2022, in New York City. Juan Pablo Mata, CEO of CBC, attended the event and participated as a speaker at the forum "Sustainable Capital Markets – Innovating for the Greater Good."

According to CBC: "Our participation in these technical and academic debates positions us as references for good practices and sustainability worldwide, in addition to recognizing our leaders as generators of innovation and sustainable development."

Juan Pablo Mata also contributed his experience during a panel discussion at the New York Stock Exchange focused on how companies in the region are integrating sustainability into their strategic planning. Other panelists included Daniel Gracian from Scotiabank, Edmundo Sánchez from Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) Mexico, and Fernando Hasenberg from CPMC Mexico. The conversation addressed investor criteria for sustainability and market innovations such as blue bonds.

The forum explored approaches for strengthening capital markets with a focus on sustainable finance.
