Corporacion Multi Inversiones recently issued the following announcement.
The global crisis caused by covid-19 aggravated the situation in countries with high rates of poverty and malnutrition, such as Guatemala. Thousands of families who depend on the money they generate every day to survive were suddenly without a source of income, which meant an economic and food crisis in hundreds of both rural and urban communities.
Against this background, five Guatemalan companies, Corporación Multi Inversiones, cbc, Claro, Banco Industrial and La Torre, joined forces to invite us, as Guatemalans, to join together to support families in need of food. This is how on April 29, the initiative “El Amor en Caja” was announced, a call for solidarity to which thousands of Guatemalans, companies and organizations responded in a very positive way.
