The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) has provided technical assistance to rural families in the village of Las Delicias Mopán, located in the municipality of Dolores, Petén. The initiative aims to improve food security and increase income for local producers.
Agricultural staff from the Directorate of Agricultural Development (DAGRO), under the Vice Ministry in charge of Petén Affairs (VIPETÉN), led activities focused on supporting the management of jalapeño pepper seedlings in family gardens. The team monitored plant growth and development while advising producers on agronomic practices, pest control, and efficient fertilizer use.
According to MAGA, "These actions are part of MAGA's efforts to strengthen the productive capacities of families in Petén and promote sustainable and diversified agriculture in the region."
