Corporacion Multi Inversiones issued the following announcement on Jan. 4.
The AES and CMI solar project: Bósforo, obtained an honorable mention of the National Environmental Prize 2020 in the category “Good Environmental Practices” for its contribution to the energy and environmental sustainability of El Salvador.
Bosphorus was conceived under an environmentally responsible concept, it has 10 solar plants that deliver 100 MW of sustainable energy, reducing the emission into the atmosphere of 175 thousand tons of CO2 per year.
This solar initiative contributes to diversifying the Salvadoran energy matrix, making it economically viable so that every day more Salvadoran homes use renewable energy, making us an environmentally responsible country, helping to reduce the carbon footprint to preserve the environment. Bosphorus also promotes environmental projects that help reforest with timber and fruit trees in the areas surrounding its plants.
In this way, we promote the future of sustainable energy in El Salvador and stimulate the energy transformation of the region for the preservation of our environment.
