Corporacion Multi Inversiones issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
Sersa-Fotersa Photovoltaic Parks, located in the Choluteca region, in southern Honduras, is made up of 266,520 solar panels, distributed in three plants: Pacífico I, Choluteca I and Choluteca II, which in total supply 70 MW of energy.
Sersa-Fotersa has a strong commitment to sustainable social development, for this reason it implements socio-environmental projects based on four fundamental pillars: infrastructure, environment and biodiversity, health and education.
With these programs, 4,200 inhabitants of neighboring areas have been benefited through drinking water and sanitation programs, electrification, community infrastructure, educational events and cultural promotion, among others.
It should be noted that, as a major contribution to the environment, with the generation of Sersa-Fotersa, 109,400 tons of CO2 ceased to be emitted in 2019.
