Corporacion Multi Inversiones issued the following announcement on Dec. 11.

The Cerro de Hula Wind Farm, located between the municipalities of Santa Ana and San Buenaventura, in the department of Francisco Morazán, has an installed capacity of 126 MW and is made up of 63 wind turbines, which positions it as the largest wind farm of American Center.

Its generation represents 4.7% of the country's energy demand and avoided the emission of 265,600 tons of CO2 in 2019. Cerro de Hula has a strong commitment to sustainable social development, therefore it implements socio-environmental projects based on four fundamental pillars: infrastructure, environment and biodiversity, health and education. Among their contributions we can mention the restoration of ecosystems with the planting of more than 72 thousand trees in the area. Also, the delivery of student scholarships, support for micro-businesses, strengthening of health centers, environmental education programs, among others.
