The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) is organizing the Agro-Food Certification Congress 2025 to enhance the skills of producers, technicians, and institutions in food production certification standards and processes. The event aims to support sustainable agro-food production systems, allowing participants to access new markets and improve their competitiveness.
Scheduled for December 5 at the Hotel y Centro de Convenciones Jardines del Lago in Panajachel, Sololá, the congress will address topics such as organic, ecological, and conventional certification processes. Attendees will also receive updates on regulations and certification standards, value addition, and strategies for accessing both domestic and international markets.
According to MAGA, "The MAGA promotes sustainable and high-quality agro-food production. This congress is an important step toward achieving this goal because producers and technicians who attend can connect with experts and learn about the latest trends in agro-food certification."
The initiative is made possible with support from strategic partners dedicated to advancing communities, producers, and families involved in agriculture across the country.
