CMI, Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI), announced that 577 employees have graduated from its Technical Training Program. The program is delivered through laUcmi in partnership with the Instituto Técnico de Capacitación y Productividad (INTECAP). This initiative aims to improve technical skills and operational excellence across the company’s business units.

The training program currently has 949 participants, with graduates coming from various divisions within CMI Alimentos, including Soluciones Cárnicas, B4B, B4C, and R&R. Courses offered this year covered essential areas such as pilot training, welding, electricity, boiler operation, industrial maintenance, forklift operation, driving, air conditioning, refrigeration, and warehouse management.

In total, participants completed 10,585 hours of instruction. Attendance reached 95 percent and overall satisfaction was reported at 98 percent.

According to CMI: "We believe in the transformative power of knowledge and continuous learning as a driver for growth for our employees and operations. That is why we proudly celebrate the graduation of 577 employees who completed this year's Technical Training Program developed through laUcmi in collaboration with INTECAP. This achievement represents a significant step in their professional growth and reaffirms our commitment to 'generating life-changing opportunities with family warmth.'"

LaUcmi has operated for ten years and is recognized as the first Latin American corporate university certified by The Learning & Performance Institute (LPI) in London. Since its founding it has provided training to over 30,000 employees in Central America, the United States, and the Caribbean.

CMI described its partnership with INTECAP as strategic: "Thanks to a relationship of trust and collaborative work it was possible to adapt academy content to real business needs, implement practical methodologies based on simulation and ensure applied teaching aligned with operational context."

Graduates reported immediate application of new skills at work. They cited improvements in safe driving practices among pilots and drivers; better preventive and corrective maintenance by teams working in refrigeration, air conditioning, welding, electricity and general maintenance; and safer procedures among forklift operators and warehouse staff.

Some challenges included coordinating schedules and transportation to INTECAP locations. However these were addressed through joint planning and logistical support from team leaders.

Reflecting on the experience: "The most valuable lessons learned are seen in practical mastery of tools and equipment; improved industrial safety; discipline; stronger teamwork; and pride in representing CMI with technical excellence."

The company states that these results reflect its REIR values—Excellence shown by committed application of learning; Responsibility for resources and safety; Integrity in actions; Respect during collaboration.

Currently led by third-generation family members Juan José Gutiérrez Mayorga (President Chairman of CMI Alimentos) and Felipe Bosch Gutiérrez (President Chairman of CMI Capital), CMI plans further investments aimed at sustainable development through programs supporting entrepreneurship.
