The Subgerencia de Prestaciones Pecuniarias at the Instituto Guatemalteco de Seguridad Social (IGSS) organized a series of presentations focused on human resource management, organizational development, and workplace well-being. The program featured trained professionals who delivered workshops to IGSS staff.
During one session on effective communication, Ana Lucía Gudiel stated, "Understanding each other is the first step to communicating," with active participation from all attendees. José Domingo Argueta emphasized the value of working for IGSS, saying, "IGSS workers should feel satisfied and proud to work for such a noble institution."
Approximately 450 employees attended three workshop sessions. Participants included department heads, deputy heads, delegates, departmental cashiers, and analysts from various departments responsible for monetary benefits and Invalidity, Old Age, and Survivors (IVS) programs.
Liliana Batres from the Hospital de Escuintla thanked authorities for organizing these activities. She highlighted that such training helps staff adapt to changes and updates within the institute.
Attendees engaged actively in each session led by trainers. At the conclusion of the event, José Domingo Argueta recognized the importance of ongoing staff training: "These teachings prompt introspective reflection both personally and professionally." He also presented certificates to those who conducted the presentations.
A sign language interpreter was present to support participants with disabilities.
