Diploma program supports rural women entrepreneurs in El Progreso

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) has launched an entrepreneurship and empowerment diploma program aimed at rural women in El Progreso. The initiative is designed to help participants develop the skills and knowledge needed to start businesses and improve their quality of life.

A total of 45 women from the communities of Palo Amontonado in Guastatoya and El Rancho in San Agustín took part in the training. The program was delivered in partnership with the Guayacán R.L. cooperative.

The curriculum covered topics such as self-esteem, family budgeting, business design, and women's empowerment. Participants also attended a practical workshop on creating everlasting flowers.

Training sessions were held for four hours once a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The program saw active participation from the women involved, who are seeking to improve their economic situation and contribute to local development.
