Contests featuring the creation and flying of kites were held in El Progreso, aiming to encourage creativity, culture, and teamwork among participants from the Rural Development Learning Center (CADER) Juvenil. The initiative was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA).

The activities took place in two locations: Estancia de la Virgen village in the municipality of San Cristóbal Acasaguastlán and Las Ovejas village in the municipality of El Jícaro.

According to organizers, these events provide a fun way for young people to learn about the importance of preserving and revitalizing cultural traditions across different regions of the country.

During the event, participants displayed their skills in making kites. In addition, professionals from the Community Violence Prevention Unit (UPCV) under the Ministry of Governance delivered talks on peaceful coexistence, organization, and appropriate use of social media.
