Ministerio de Finanzas Públicas shares updates on digital transformation strategy and service schedule

The Ministerio de Finanzas Públicas of Guatemala has used its official Twitter account to share updates regarding digital transformation and public service schedules. On October 30, 2025, the Ministry highlighted ongoing efforts to modernize government management through a strategic plan. The following day, it acknowledged international support for these initiatives and announced a temporary closure of its user service center.

In a post dated October 30, 2025, the Ministry wrote: "¿Cómo avanza Guatemala hacia una gestión gubernamental más moderna, eficiente y transparente? Conoce más sobre el Plan Estratégico de Transformación Digital del Organismo Ejecutivo, una estrategia busca rediseñar servicios y procesos para mejorar la calidad de vida".

On October 31, 2025, the Ministry provided further details about this initiative and expressed gratitude for international collaboration: "El Plan Estratégico de Transformación Digital del Organismo Ejecutivo, una estrategia que permitirá avanzar hacia una gestión gubernamental más moderna , eficiente y transparente . Gracias al apoyo del @el_BID, @BancoMundialLAC, @UEGuatemala y @PNUDGuatemala."

Also on October 31, the Ministry notified citizens about changes in its services during a national holiday: "El Centro de Atención al Usuario (CAU) del #Minfin permanecerá cerrado el viernes 31 de octubre por el asueto del Día de Todos los Santos, según lo establecido en el Pacto Colectivo de Condiciones de Trabajo. Retomaremos nuestras labores el lunes 3 de noviembre."

The Strategic Plan for Digital Transformation aims to redesign government services and processes with the goal of improving quality of life in Guatemala. This effort is supported by organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank (BID), World Bank (Banco Mundial), European Union in Guatemala (UEGuatemala), and United Nations Development Programme in Guatemala (PNUDGuatemala).

The announcement regarding the closure of the User Service Center aligns with national labor agreements that recognize holidays such as Día de Todos los Santos. The ministry stated that normal operations would resume on November 3.
