The Ministerio de Cultura y Deportes de Guatemala has recently highlighted several cultural initiatives through its official Twitter account, focusing on theater and traditional activities across different regions of the country.

On November 6, 2025, the Ministry announced the upcoming departmental theater showcase in Escuintla: "#Escuintla | Estamos a pocos días de comenzar la fiesta de la actuación con la Muestra de Teatro Departamental “Norma Padilla”, que en esta edición tendrá lugar en el Centro Cultural de Escuintla. Tendremos tres presentaciones diarias y son gratuitas. #ElPuebloDignoEsPrimero". The event will be held at the Centro Cultural de Escuintla and features three free performances daily.

Later that day, another tweet emphasized efforts to preserve traditional crafts in Zacapa: "#Zacapa | ¡La tradición se mantiene viva! 20 personas, entre niños, jóvenes usuarios del parque y trabajadores, aprendieron a crear su propio barrilete, descubriendo que su elaboración no es tan difícil como parece. According to the post dated November 6, twenty participants—including children and park users—learned how to make their own kites in a workshop designed to keep this tradition alive.

On November 7, the Ministry invited families to attend a theatrical performance for children: "Acompáñanos a visitar la “Tierra de Leyenda”, una obra de teatro para compartir con los pequeños del hogar, donde descubrirán, en escena, figuras legendarias como La Llorona y El Sombrerón. The ministry regularly organizes workshops and performances throughout the country with an emphasis on community participation and cultural education.
