The Ministry of Culture and Sports of Guatemala shared updates on two major cultural initiatives through its official Twitter account. The posts detailed the voluntary repatriation process for 61 Guatemalan cultural artifacts and highlighted the participation of Minister Liwy Grazioso in the opening ceremony of the 24th Paiz Art Biennial.

In a tweet published on November 6, 2025, the Ministry stated: "#Guatemala | El proceso de recuperación por entrega voluntaria fue el procedimiento aplicado en la reciente repatriación de 61 bienes culturales guatemaltecos. Conoce el proceso. https://t.co/FXh6FByGcR #ElPuebloDignoEsPrimero". This message refers to the recent return of Guatemalan cultural property using a voluntary handover process.

Later that morning, another post announced Minister Grazioso’s involvement at a major art event: "#Guatemala | La ministra @Liwy_Grazioso participó en la inauguración de la 24ª Bienal de Arte Paiz 2025, en un acto que tuvo lugar en el Patio de la Vida del Palacio Nacional de la Cultura. https://t.co/SzW5q1YYn1". The Bienal de Arte Paiz is recognized as one of Central America's most significant contemporary art exhibitions.

The Ministry of Culture and Sports oversees efforts to protect Guatemala's heritage and promote national arts events such as the Bienal de Arte Paiz. The voluntary recovery and repatriation of artifacts are part of ongoing international collaborations to recover items removed from Guatemala’s territory without authorization.
