Conference to discuss relocation of Guatemala’s capital set for August

A conference titled "Transfer of the Capital of Guatemala and the Town of Jocotenango to the New Guatemala de la Asunción" is scheduled for August 13. The event will be led by Abraham Solórzano from CECEG and will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the lobby of the Central Library.

The organizers encourage participation and invite attendees to share the invitation with others. According to the announcement, "Do not miss this interesting talk about our history!"

Other academic events are also planned at Universidad De San Carlos De Guatemala, including a conference on July 14 and 15 called "Students in San Carlos History," presented by Mynor Carrera Mejía, as well as a book presentation on September 24 and literary gatherings focused on García Márquez on October 30 and November 27.

These activities aim to promote historical awareness and cultural engagement within the university community.
