The Ministerio de Comunicaciones of Guatemala announced the release of special postage stamps commemorating Balami, the official mascot for an upcoming sporting event, and highlighting national sports symbols. The announcements were made through a series of tweets on October 21 and 22, 2025.

On the same day, another tweet described three distinct stamp designs and their prices: " Q25.00 – Logotipo JCA2025: símbolo del dinamismo y la unión entre naciones.
.

A further post on October 22 referenced an ongoing cycling event with the hashtag #VueltaCiclistica2025 and included an image: "#VueltaCiclistica2025 https://t.co/H2d3e1y4eE".

Balami serves as the mascot for major Central American sporting events scheduled for 2025 in Guatemala. The launch of commemorative stamps is part of efforts to promote national identity and celebrate sports achievements across the region. These initiatives are intended to engage both philatelists and sports fans while supporting cultural outreach by government institutions such as the Ministerio de Comunicaciones.
