On October 19, 2025, Mineduc Guatemala posted an announcement about the opening of applications for the National Languages Scholarships 2025. The tweet states: " ¡Atención, docentes del sector público! El #Mineduc abre la convocatoria para las Becas de Idiomas Nacionales 2025. Dirigido a: docentes de nivel preprimario y primario del sector público. Modalidad: 100% virtual. Inscripciones: del 17 al 22 de octubre de 2025. https://t.co/QXskpEM6tZ". According to this post, the scholarship program is aimed at pre-primary and primary level public school teachers, with all courses delivered online and registration open from October 17 to October 22, 2025.
Later that day, on October 19, Mineduc Guatemala published another call for participation in its temporary database for future hiring within national extra-school education programs. The tweet reads: " El Ministerio de Educación invita a las personas interesadas en formar parte del banco de datos temporal para contrataciones a partir de 2026 en los programas de Educación Extraescolar a nivel nacional: CEMUCAF – Centros Municipales de Capacitación y Formación Humana https://t.co/RdMYZJKzDx". This initiative seeks to create a pool of candidates for positions beginning in 2026 at Municipal Centers for Training and Human Development (CEMUCAF).
On October 20, Mineduc Guatemala announced an update regarding administrative processes for teachers. The ministry stated: "¡Atención, maestras y maestros! Ahora pueden solicitar la emisión de la Cédula Docente en línea Ingresa al link: https://t.co/v332t08FyH https://t.co/KoRDIkbzEN". This notice informs educators that they can now request their teaching credential (Cédula Docente) online.
