The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) has conducted a training session aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial skills among women in the Roble Blanco community, located in the Pedregal village of Quezaltepeque, Chiquimula. The initiative was led by a professional from the Rural Home component of MAGA and focused on teaching participants how to make waxed flowers.

The training targeted members of the local Center for Learning for Rural Development (CADER). According to MAGA, "Thanks to this training, participants learned techniques to create floral arrangements and wreaths for the deceased, which will allow them to start a business and generate income for their families."

MAGA stated that further advisory sessions will be held, introducing additional methodologies to strengthen business ideas and support economic development. "The advisory process will continue with more methodologies to strengthen their business idea and support their economic development. The training is part of the support process that MAGA provides to rural communities to promote entrepreneurship and local economic development," according to MAGA.

The program is part of ongoing efforts by MAGA to foster entrepreneurship and local economic growth in rural areas.
