Corporacion Multi Inversiones issued the following announcement on April 30.
Physical distancing and quarantine , requirements necessary to protect ourselves from Covid-19 , affects the nutrition of many people , who have lost their jobs or who depend on their daily sales.
With the aim of providing support in these difficult times , the movement: “With your help, love in the Box” was born , which seeks to deliver boxes of food and hygiene products to Guatemalan families in greatest need.
To carry out this project and take the first step, four Guatemalan companies joined forces to donate the first 20 thousand boxes: Corporación Multi Inversiones, cbc, Banco Industrial and Claro.
The boxes will reach the neediest families, thanks to the support and distribution of the United Way of Guatemala.
Each box has a value of Q250 , which contains products necessary for a family of five members , for more than 15 days, and includes:
2 bottles of 1000 ml oil.
4 pounds of sugar
16 pounds of nixtamalized cornmeal
5lb rice parboiled
4 units of fortified atol of 400 grams
1 pound of iodized salt
4 pounds of beans
8 units of pasta of 120 grams
4 units of soy protein of 120 grams
4 pounds oats
4 tomato sauce for pasta
6 200 ml fruit nectar
4 tablet soaps
1 bottle of ethyl alcohol
