Corporacion Multi Inversiones issued the following announcement on April 13.

Putting into practice one of the favorite phrases of the founder of Corporación Multi Inversiones, Don Juan Bautista Gutiérrez: “Yes, we can, let's find a way”, and in the face of the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, this investor group helped equip the Quetzaltenango hospital, which will treat infected people in the Guatemalan highlands.

The effort of the doctors, the spirit of service and dedication of the rest of the personnel that attend to this emergency make Corporación Multi Inversiones join in the fight to prevent the spread of covid-19 in the country. “For several weeks, we have supported from different instances and in several of the countries where we operate, with the donation of food through Pollo Campero for institutions dedicated to managing the emergency, medical supplies for hospitals, as well as the donation of food to municipalities in our communities. Today, with pride and a lot of affection, we are present in the region that saw us born a hundred years ago, "said Juan José Gutiérrez, president chairman of CMI Alimentos. The president of CMI Capital, Juan Luis Bosch, on behalf of its shareholders and collaborators,

The company's donation consisted of X-ray units, respirators, infusion pumps, defibrillators, hospital beds, UPS and electrical transformers, which allow this hospital to have the capacity of bedding for 125 people and 18 more in the intensive area. “Our main responsibility is to continue working and supporting with all the provisions of security and hygiene from our food and energy operations, to ensure supplies and services to families in need. Together we can get ahead, ”said Bosch.

The Guatemalan West has a special meaning for CMI, because one hundred years ago, Don Juan Bautista Gutiérrez started the venture. In addition to this donation, the group has provided food through its Pollo Campero brand to the personnel who worked in the construction of the quarantine center and temporary hospital in the Parque de la Industria, and that collaboration has extended to El Salvador.
