Corporacion Multi Inversiones issued the following announcement on April 3.

Corporación Multi-Inversiones (CMI) delivered medical equipment to the Hospital Center in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, which will be the center of attention that prepares to attend to possible emergencies and cases of patients with Covid-19 infection in the west of the country.

The donation - which was delivered to the Government of Guatemala - includes X-ray units, respirators, infusion pumps, defibrillators, hospital beds, ups and electrical transformers, among others, and will have the capacity to serve 125 people in bed and 18 in intensive care.

This region is an important part of CMI, because it was the place where Juan Bautista Gutiérrez started the venture that gave rise to what is now CMI, 100 years ago.

The Chairman of the group Juan Luis Bosch and Juan José Gutiérrez, on behalf of their shareholders and collaborators, delivered the donation, which is equivalent to eight million quetzales, the entire amount was used to equip the Hospital Center in Quetzaltenango.

“For several weeks, we have supported from different instances, and in several of the countries where we operate, with the donation of food through Pollo Campero for institutions dedicated to managing the emergency, medical supplies for hospitals, as well as the donation of food to municipalities in our communities. Today with pride and great affection we are present in the region that saw us born 100 years ago, "said Juan José Gutiérrez, President Chairman of CMI Alimentos.

CMI reiterated its commitment to continue working through its operations with responsibility and commitment, to ensure the supply of food and the supply of essential services such as energy to the population and families of the countries where it operates.
