Chamber of Commerce of Guatemala recently issued the following announcement.
A delegation composed of 9 businessmen affiliated to the Chamber of Commerce of Guatemala, is participating in the 114 Edition of the Canton Fair that takes place in the city of Guangzhou, China. Seven of the 9 businessmen, attended the first phases of the Fair that takes place from October 15 to 20. In addition to attending and touring the Fair, entrepreneurs have been able to hold business meetings with potential suppliers, as well as schedule visits to factories, with the aim of verifying the production processes of the companies contacted.
During this mission, visits to factories were organized. Our companies had the opportunity to visit the cities of: Shenzhen, Foshan and Zheijang, where they learned about the processes related to the production of: industrial voltage regulating devices; ceramic floors and magnesium rings for vehicles.
Likewise, the businessmen had the opportunity to make tourist visits in the city of Guangzhou, China: They visited the Canton Tower, the Pearl River and made purchases in Beijing Lou, the commercial district of Guangzhou, among many other attractions.
The Canton Fair is held twice a year (April-May and October-November). It has more than 59 thousand booths from companies around the world and more than 200 thousand visitors. It is estimated that each year generates more than 35 billion dollars in commercial transactions.
