The Ministerio de Finanzas Públicas is responsible for fiscal policy and public finance management in Guatemala. President Bernardo Arévalo assumed office in January 2024 after winning the general elections. The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is observed annually on November 25 to raise awareness about gender-based violence worldwide.
