The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) has provided training to members of the Centers for Learning for Rural Development (CADER) in Quezaltepeque, Chiquimula. The aim is to improve food security and nutrition among local families by teaching them how to prepare spaces for family vegetable production.

The training took place in Roble Blanco hamlet, Pedregal village. According to MAGA, these sessions are designed to strengthen farmers' knowledge on implementing family gardens and producing healthy foods.

MAGA stated: "These types of actions are promoted by MAGA through rural extension that reaches all municipalities in the country with training, technical assistance, support for producers, among other activities."

As part of ongoing support, CADER group members will receive technical assistance and guidance for growing vegetables and other foods. This is expected to help them improve their diets and generate additional income.
