The Universidad Mesoamericana has announced the expansion of its academic offerings for the 2026 academic year at its Central Campus in Guatemala City. The institution is introducing new programs aimed at addressing current labor market needs and providing students with flexible, quality education.

Starting in 2026, the university will offer a new Technical and Bachelor’s program in Nursing. According to the announcement, “the health sector increasingly demands highly trained, ethical, and committed professionals. For this reason, we present the new program of Technician and Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, which combines a solid scientific foundation, development of clinical skills, and comprehensive training focused on the patient and community.” The program aims to prepare graduates for roles in hospitals, private clinics, and community projects to meet the requirements of today’s healthcare system. Additional details about the Nursing program are available on the university’s website (https://www.umes.edu.gt/enfermeria).

The university is also launching a new Marketing & Business Analytics degree that focuses on data analysis, market intelligence, marketing strategies, and decision-making based on information. To accommodate different student needs, this career will be offered in two schedules: a Saturday session with semi-presential classes from 7:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. plus one virtual course during the week from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and an evening session with semi-presential classes Monday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., along with one virtual class on Friday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. More information can be found here (https://www.umes.edu.gt/marketing-and-business-analytics).

In addition, the Administration of Businesses degree with a specialization in Digital Business—which was previously only available as a Saturday plan—will now also be offered as a daily evening schedule. This change provides more options for students who work during daytime hours and prepares them for digital business environments involving e-commerce strategies and digital marketing management (https://www.umes.edu.gt/administraci%C3%B3n-de-empresas).

Enrollment for these programs is now open for the 2026 cycle at Universidad Mesoamericana’s Central Campus in Guatemala City. The university states that “the admission process is agile and accessible: you only need to complete an admission interview, which is completely free.”
