MAGA Guatemala, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food in Guatemala, announced through its official Twitter account a series of initiatives focused on the agricultural sector. The tweets detailed the start of training for staff who will implement the Registro Único de Agricultores (RUA), a new digital tool aimed at identifying, quantifying, and geolocating producers across the country.

#ElPuebloDignoEsPrimero https://t.co/zdOo6C1rPU".

Later that same day, another tweet reiterated the launch of training efforts: "Iniciamos la capacitación del personal técnico y profesional del MAGA para implementar el Registro Único de Agricultores, una herramienta que fortalecerá la atención a los productores en todo el país. #ElPuebloDignoEsPrimero https://t.co/E3Bos0Ef8j".

The RUA is designed to be free for users and represents an important step in modernizing Guatemalan agriculture by improving data collection and service delivery to producers throughout the nation. These efforts are part of broader strategies by MAGA Guatemala to support agricultural development and address challenges such as climate change impacts on farming communities.
