Technical staff from the Municipal Rural Extension Agency (AMER) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) provided specialized technical assistance at a laying hen farm in Poptún, Petén. The initiative aims to strengthen the productive capacities of beneficiary families.
The visit was part of a project carried out in partnership with the AMA Association. This effort is designed to improve food security and promote income generation in rural communities within the municipality.
During the session, technicians offered guidance on proper feed management, sanitary control, cleaning of poultry houses, selection of birds, and strategies to increase egg production.
According to MAGA, "These actions seek to guarantee better results for participating families and contribute to the development of sustainable poultry production."
