The Guatemalan Ministry of Education (Mineduc Guatemala) has used its official X account to share information on public health and safety, including dengue prevention, support for victims of sexual violence, and new communication channels. The posts were made on November 10 and 11, 2025.
In a tweet posted on November 10, Mineduc Guatemala urged the public to take preventive measures against dengue in educational settings.
Later the same day, the ministry addressed the issue of sexual violence. It encouraged individuals not to face such situations alone and promoted available support services: "No enfrentes la violencia sexual sola (o). Hay apoyo para ti. #1510Cuéntalo #Denuncia #NoMásViolenciaSexual #Denuncia https://t.co/iJZaEZvR90".
On November 11, Mineduc Guatemala invited followers to join its WhatsApp channel for updates and information: "Únete a nuestro canal de WhatsApp y recibe directo en tu celular nuestras últimas novedades e información que preparamos para ti Entra al enlace y abre WhatsApp, presiona “seguir” y activa las notificaciones https://t.co/o8TjKEIMTM https://t.co/qRx1hW1NeD".
The Ministry of Education in Guatemala regularly conducts awareness campaigns regarding public health concerns such as dengue fever—a mosquito-borne illness that has seen outbreaks in several Latin American countries—and provides resources for those affected by sexual violence. The use of digital platforms like WhatsApp reflects a broader trend among government institutions to increase accessibility and engagement with citizens through social media and messaging applications.
