The University of San Carlos of Guatemala is organizing a virtual book club focused on Gabriel García Márquez's novel "Of Love and Other Demons." The sessions are scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2025, and Thursday, November 27, 2025, both starting at 6:00 p.m. Participation will be online.
According to the announcement, this event provides an opportunity to revisit García Márquez's work and discuss themes such as love, faith, and destiny within the context of Latin American magical realism. The organizers state: "An opportunity to rediscover García Márquez, share readings and reflect on the power of love in the midst of the impossible."
