Energuate participated in the Madrid Energy Conference 2025, an important event for the Ibero-American energy sector. The company’s delegation was led by General Manager Paulo César Parra Benavides. During the conference, they discussed challenges and experiences from Guatemala’s electricity sector, along with recent infrastructure improvements aimed at service quality and energy sustainability.
A main topic of Energuate's participation was the introduction of the Open Tender PEG-5-2025. This initiative is intended to contract renewable energy sources, diversify Guatemala’s energy mix, and ensure a stable supply for Energuate’s customers.
According to Energuate, its presence at this international forum strengthens its role as a key participant in the region’s energy transition. The company stated that it seeks to “promote connections that transform customers’ lives and encourage sustainable development.”
