MINEX Guatemala highlights consular activities supporting migrants and health initiatives

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala (MINEX Guatemala) shared updates on its official Twitter account regarding recent activities conducted by Guatemalan consulates in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

On December 2, 2025, MINEX Guatemala reported that "El @consgtdelrio participó como expositor en la reunión de la Community Health Improvement Coalition en Del Río, Texas, donde resaltó la relevancia de la salud mental. Durante el encuentro, reafirmó su compromiso de promover el bienestar integral, colaborar con organizaciones". This tweet highlighted the participation of the Guatemalan Consulate in Del Río at a local health coalition meeting focused on mental health and well-being.

Later that day, MINEX Guatemala posted another update: "Consulado General de Guatemala en Tijuana fortalece cooperación migratoria con organizaciones. The post announced efforts by the Guatemalan Consulate in Tijuana to enhance migration-related cooperation with various organizations.

In a subsequent tweet on December 2, 2025, MINEX Guatemala stated: "Funcionarios del Consulado General de Guatemala en Vancouver, Canadá, llevaron a cabo una visita consular de protección a trabajadores temporales en la zona de Delta, Columbia Británica, con el objetivo de verificar el respeto a sus derechos humanos y laborales. Durante este". This message described a consular visit by officials from the Guatemalan Consulate in Vancouver to temporary workers in Delta, British Columbia. The purpose was to ensure respect for human and labor rights among Guatemalan migrant workers.

These initiatives are part of ongoing efforts by Guatemalan diplomatic missions to support citizens abroad through advocacy for health issues such as mental well-being and protection of migrant rights. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs regularly coordinates with local organizations and host countries to monitor conditions faced by Guatemalans overseas and to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
