Warning signs include the absence of HTTPS in the website address (which means the connection is not secure), poorly designed interfaces with spelling mistakes or altered logos, requests for unnecessary sensitive information such as credit card details for free content, and a lack of clear privacy policies or contact information.
Banco G&T Continental advises users to verify that any streaming site they use is official by searching its name on search engines and social media. They recommend checking for HTTPS in the URL as an indicator of a secure connection and reading reviews from trusted sources before entering any personal data. Users should avoid providing information if anything seems suspicious and are encouraged to use only reputable platforms with institutional backing.
