MINEX Guatemala shares updates on mobile consulates and passport services for citizens abroad

MINEX Guatemala , the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, published several updates on November 18, 2025, regarding consular services provided to Guatemalan citizens in the United States.

In a post from November 18, MINEX Guatemala reported that "#GuatemalaCercaDeTi | El @ConsGtOhio realizó su #ConsuladoMóvilGT en Cincinnati, Ohio, del mes de noviembre de 2025, brindando a los connacionales servicios de documentación, asistencia y orientación migratoria." The mobile consulate event aimed to provide documentation and migration assistance to Guatemalans living in the region.

Later that day, the ministry shared information about passport processing for Guatemalans abroad. On November 18, it stated: "#GuatemalaCercaDeTi | ¿Estás en el exterior y necesitas tramitar tu pasaporte guatemalteco? Los consulados de Guatemala no requieren cita para este trámite; puedes acercarte directamente y completar el proceso. Sigue estos pasos si eres mayor de edad: Acércate a tu sede". This announcement clarifies that appointments are not necessary for adult passport applications at Guatemalan consulates.

Additionally, MINEX Guatemala highlighted another mobile consulate operation. According to its post from November 18: "#GuatemalaCercaDeTi | El @ConsGRI continuó brindando apoyo a la comunidad guatemalteca a través de sus jornadas móviles. El sábado 15 y domingo 16 de noviembre se llevó a cabo un #ConsuladoMóvilGT en Lynn, Massachusetts, acercando servicios consulares a los connacionales que". The event took place over the weekend and was designed to bring essential services closer to Guatemalans residing in Massachusetts.
