Energuate has highlighted its commitment to education and employment as part of its participation in the CentraRSE Regional Sustainability Forum. The company presented a training project aimed at promoting decent employment opportunities for vulnerable communities.
In partnership with INTECAP, Energuate provides technical training at its training centers, focusing on skills such as electricity and distribution networks. The program also offers scholarships, protective equipment, and transportation to help remove obstacles that participants might face.
According to Energuate, the initiative has reached Guatemalans in 11 municipalities. It has provided over 63,000 hours of training and helped integrate new talent into contractor companies working with Energuate.
Paulo César Parra, CEO at Energuate, stated: "This is just the beginning. We remain committed to sustainability and social development because at ENERGUATE, we not only connect energy, we transform lives."
The company says it will continue these efforts as part of its broader focus on sustainability and community development.
