The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) has provided technical assistance for the serological sampling and tuberculin inoculation of ten cattle in La Pista, La Libertad, Petén. This effort is part of the animal health control measures required for participation in the upcoming Expoganadera “Flores 2026”.

The activity was carried out by a team from the Directorate of Agricultural Development (DAGRO), under the Vice Ministry in Charge of Petén Affairs (VIPETÉN), in coordination with livestock traceability technicians. The team verified the health status of the cattle and offered specialized support throughout the process.

"The MAGA reaffirms its commitment to continue supporting cattle ranchers in the department, with the objective of strengthening productivity, promoting animal health and ensuring proper and responsible management of livestock," stated officials from MAGA.

This initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to improve animal health controls and enhance productivity among local cattle producers.
