The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) has provided training and technical assistance to families in the Roble Blanco community, located in Quezaltepeque, Chiquimula. The initiative was delivered by professionals from the Rural Home and Family Agriculture programs.

According to MAGA, the session targeted members of the local Center for Learning for Rural Development (CADER). The training focused on the value of native plant species, crop association techniques, and the advantages of cover crops. These practices aim to improve food production quality and nutrition within the community.

MAGA experts also shared information about sustainable farming methods designed to strengthen harvests and diversify food sources. The ministry stated: "MAGA constantly works and promotes the implementation of programs and projects that guarantee sustainable food production as well as access to a healthy and nutritious diet."

This effort is part of MAGA’s broader commitment to supporting sustainable agriculture practices across rural areas in Guatemala.
